How Do You Spell OK?

Little siblings make the world go round….and round….and round….and all the while they are singing some ditty like, "I know a song that gets on everybody’s nerves, everybody’s nerves, everybody’s nerves.  I know a song that gets on everybody’s nerves, and THIS IS HOW IT GOES!  I know a song…."  Of course, I am usually singing along.  *grin*

Yesterday as we were sitting in an area which required us to be quiet and try to look somewhat dignified, my siblings attempted to entertain themselves.  First, they very discreetly looked under every chair in the surrounding perimeter and wrote down the different colors of gum they found stuck to the bottoms.  Bobo peeked every time a person had to go through a door with a code on it, and finally determined the number to be 235.  Dippy and James took turns sitting on my lap, and grinned every time I whispered, "You’re my favorite [insert age] year old brother."  Actually, Dippy would grin and respond, "You’re my favorite….uh…." "I’m 18"…."Oh….you are?  How old is Ryann?"  "13" …"How come she’s taller than you?"

And then every once and a while Emmiko would tap my shoulder and ask me how to spell something.  I usually answered, but decided she could try to figure it out on her own when she whispered, "Um, Coie?  How do you spell OK?"  I asked her if she was joking and she just giggled.  I said, "O…..K!"

A few nights ago I was in my parents’ room telling them about my day and talking and laughing, when mom told James, "Ok, go get in the money bed."  I gave her my "yuh huh what?" look and said, "What in the world is a money bed?"  She said, "I’ll tell you in a minute." and waited for James to leave.  I blurted out, "Don’t tell me he’s getting PAID to sleep in his bed!"  I was shocked at the injustice of it all.  I would pay to stay in bed and he was getting paid to sleep in his bed.  I was relieved to hear that it was actually called that because a certain sibling (I don’t know which one) told him that there was a monster in that bed and that it came out through the hole in the matress.  My momsie told him, "No no…you heard wrong.  They said it was a MONEY bed!" and his fears were immediately alleviated.

Yep, I have a crazy family……And I wouldn’t trade it for the world…..or even a bit more sleep.

Well, I guess that could have been my RFORLI. I just didn't think of it. 😛

Hehehe, I love your family too, and I hardly know them! But as for not "trading them for the world," Adam and I are always laughing when people say that, because really, what kind of gift is The World? If I were so unfortunate as to be given this world, I know it would be a gift I'd be re-gifting with a quickness!

Sometimes I spell it o-k-a-y. Depends on the usage.

Money bed? Sounds expensive and scratchy for some reason. I'm with you though… I would most definitely pay to be able to sleep more!

Or I could just do what's free and get off this computer and go to bed.

    Naaah. This is more fun!
