Sewing Stuff

A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to start a sewing class. So I wrote out a big long thing and sent it to SOME GREAT PEOPLE who in turn sent the word out. I got some emails of people interested and even had to split it into two classes so that people wouldn’t have to drive too far. I think I have 7 people interested. But today, today, I received the first application and payment. YIPPEE! I was imagining starting the class and all, but for some reason I didn’t really think about the money coming in. I suppose it was kind of strange that I was surprised by it.
Yesterday I went to Walmart and bought about 90 yards of fabric for $1 per yard. It was a great deal and I couldn’t resist!
I am also starting a website which ANNE is designing/creating for me at this very moment. Right Anne? *cracks whip*…But really, she is very nice to help me and at a reasonable price too. I’m hoping this website will help me make more money, and I’ll let you all know about it when it is up and running. 🙂

Oh Coie…I'm so excited for you!!!!!!!!! The Lord is just blessing your family up one side and down the other isn't He!!!!!!!!!!!! Your dad's job, Ryann's piano, your sewing classes and web site…I'm just delighted for all of you!!!!!
Yes…I'll have Mr. Carr take a picture of me in "the skirt"…I WEAR IT ALL THE TIME!!!! By the way, I think you should market it as "The Coie Skirt". It is my all time favorite, most comfortable item in my wardrobe.
We Miss You Guys SOOOO Much!
Your Friend In Christ,
Mrs. Carr

That is a mighty good entrepreneurial idea, Coie!
I think someone should also do a basic car class for homeschoolers as well. This would be great for both boys and girls that are of driving age (or soon to be)… covering things like changing oil, changing a flat, jump starting a battery, etc.
Hey, if you do it then maybe you can offer a discount for those who sign up for both classes. 🙂

That's really great that you are able to do that. I am just learning to sew, and I don't think that I would make a very good sewing teacher.
Good luck!
