Material

Walmart is getting rid of their fabric department, so I went over there today to see what I could find. The shelves were practically bare, but I found material for a skirt and two quilts. I can’t wait to get started! Any craftsters should head over and take advantage of the clearance prices.
We have about 12 chickies chirping in our dining room right now. This incubated batch had a much larger turnout than the last one, and they are still coming. Five have already died for unknown reasons.
I milked Belle, the goat, today. I was told that she was very difficult and didn’t let people milk her, and so Emmi and Ryann came out to help me. Emmi held her head (which didn’t need to be done), and Ryann held up her back left leg. It went really well. We are still working on a milkstand, which will make things easier.
Alright, I’m really tired (must of been that game of hide-and-seek with James….either that or shopping with Dippy at Walmart) so I’ll sign off and get some coffee.
Boy, I apologize for such a boring post. 🙂

Oh Coie…
I don't think you've ever had a boring post!!
I got my pattern for my Civil War dress for the dance yesterday! I can't wait to get soem materiel!!
And I'm glad you got to milk belle. When Amanda first told me you put her head between your legs I thought, "Well she must be taller then me because I'm not taller enough to get Chloe's head like that!" but when I saw Belle, she was a foot shorter then Chloe and you're taller then me… wnna milk my goat??
Well, not right now. She's in labor. I think we should have a couple kids by tonight!! I hope!!
Well, I gotta run!
Love,
Jocelyn

What a coincidance, I just got back from along long day in town that included… you guessed it, Wal-Mart.

haha
Happy to hear what's going on in your life…
*Not* so boring, dear!
Wish you could have gotten more material, but glad you did get some!
Since you love to work in carpentry, we are only an 8h drive or so… it wasn't that bad of a drive – esp. on Sunday evening!
When we finish the barn, we'll have the rest of our 1500sqft addition to finish… you are personally invited. haha (Like your Mom and Dad could do without you for long!!!)
*I couldn't do without my girls for very long!*

It's not boring at all!
Hey, Coie, you don't write boring things, I do! I write about our life and that is boring! But I posted something from a book today, George-isms! Come and read them, they're good!
Good! I'm glad you got soem fabric to make stuff, I was just over at Ryann's blog reading her post, glad you guys can milk Belle now! Ryann said it was fun and she enjoyed! I hope Chloe and Hiedi won't give us trouble when we try to milk them after they kid! But we already have a milking stand and we have put them on it a few times but she doesn't have milk when we did it!
Your friend,
Rachel

Belated Happy birthday to you. I'm sorry we had to miss your party. I hope your mom told you we were on vacation. We all would have loved to have been there. (Come by one of our blogs to see the pics!)
I enjoyed your dad's pictures of you.
I think it is so neat that you are enjoying farm life so much, and learning so many cool things.
You're a neat girl.

So did you drink the milk? How was the "convention"?
Marsha– who needs to pass on fabric, even if it's extremely cheap, b/c I have a giant drawer full of it that's just sitting there…waiting for someone with sewing talents to come along and create…methinks it's going to be waiting for a long time.
