Golly Gee, I Got Me Some Kids!

Yeehaw! My day has been simply wonderful. First off, I’m no longer sick. Secondly, at about 3:00 this afternoon I went to check on my goat Belle. She was bleating quite a bit and was laying down. She didn’t want to come to me. Upon further observation, I realized she was in labor. Half estatic, half terrified (my parents were not home, and I didn’t know what to do), I called my dad and reported my discover. Unfortunately, I didn’t do my homework, and wasn’t prepared. Neither was dad. So, I did what any gal in my situation should do. I called my GREAT friend Carolyn G. She told me everything I needed to know in a quick amount of time. After I got off the phone with her, I ran back outside, and HOLY MOLY! There were two little babies already born. They are ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I named them "Golly" and "Gee"….Golly is prettier, but Gee is sweeter. I was sitting in the barn for 3 hours and during the last 30 minutes Gee was laying next to my leg while I pet her. Congratulations Coie! If I do say so myself, you are in for a very interesting week and unfortuntely I will miss it. 🙁 Just make sure you take lots of pictures.

Congratulations. What a day, huh? That is so amazing. You all are such the farmers now! Coie the goat farmer… it has a certain ring to it. :o)

Congrtats Coi. Aren't they fun? We start having babies on the 10th. Ours are Nubians though, so they have long floppy ears like little puppies.
I told your mom I'd give her one if she just comes by for a little visit.
