Oil and Fabric

If you can use your brain, hands, and feet
all at the same time does that make you coordinated? No?
Ok, just wishful thinking on my part.
This last week I went from changing my CAR OIL to CUTTING FABRIC.
Is that weird? Anyways, I have finally, after years of
frustration, wasted fabric, and dulled cutting utensils, made a
dress. I made it for Emmiko as a birthday present. It took
up a ton of fabric because it's very swooshy at the bottom.
<grin> It's too big for her, but she should grow into it in
the next year…I was so excited when I finished it!
Here are some pictures: TOP OF DRESS and FULL DRESS (with big swoosh)

ZOWIE!!!!
That is a really pretty dress! The only articall of clothing I’ve ever seen not-quite-finished, was a lovely dark-blue silk cloak, that my sister BookFreak and my Aunt made. I wish I could have a dress like that! 😉 (that was a winking smilie if you couldn’t tell…)

P.S. I really like your music! Do you make it yourself? Could you teach me??? (just kidding)

That’s really pretty! My attempts at sewing have been hopeless failures. But I like WEARING swooshy dresses. : ) Cool!

WOW, Coie! That looks FABULOUS!!!
And Emmiko does look very beautiful in it. The big swooshy bottom is the best part of the dress, especially for twirling.

I'm bummed
I can’t see the dress. 🙁 All I get is a ‘parse’ error. And I don’t know what that is!
I’m sure it is beautiful though.
btw, I really enjoy the way you write. Both your Mom and you crack me up!

I just thought I would tell you…
I was reading your post and looking at your sidebar… You look so pretty. You and your mom are just beautiful. I like the words about being a big sister. Very encouraging.
Sincerely,

Nice dress! What pattern did you use? I’ve made a few circle skirts, but mine were of this poofy tulle and they stick out everywhere. I actually need to make another one…
