Hiking

Yeah yeah, so I've changed my avatar
again. Believe it or not, I was standing behind a waterfall in
that pic…We went hiking today in Gatlinburg. All the way up to
Groto Falls (a 2.4 mile round trip hike). When we started Dippy
said, “I'm the King Of The World!!!”…When we were have way up he
said, “Mommy, I'm all dried up.” Here's some pics. 🙂
Some river.
Some waterfall.
The trail we were on.
Don't ask me what these things were up there for…I have no idea.
The waterfall we walked behind. L-R Dippy (5), James (2), Dad (193), Emmiko (10)
Dad and The Boog liked the water. 🙂

Love the pictures. Did you have fun? We’ve been behind those falls. And, by the way, the llamas were taking supplies to the lodge on Mt. Leconte.

Nice Waterfalls
Waterfalls are nifty. Even though I’m not a big fan of the outdoors I appreciate rivers falling off of cliffs.

well.
For half a second those beautiful pictures made me jealous that I was not invited to hike with you and enjoy the scenery. Then I remembered that it was like 102 degrees yesterday and I would have been hiking maybe 5 minutes before I started pouring the sweat. Now that would have made it extremely hard to maintain my totally cool look when I would be obviously sweltering. So I am happy to be able to say with a very UN-jealous heart…..
I am so glad you all had a good time!

oh yeah
In your tre cool avatar you look like a fully clothed mermaid. To me you do. It makes me think of the cartoon Peter Pan.

Aunt Spiffy~ Actually, it was only 71 degrees while we were hiking. Quite nice. Er, please remain unjealous. 😉
Kait, Alright, I’ll take you there but you better understand it will be hotter than 71 degrees in June and we’ll have humidity. 😀

Ooh, yeah, I know about humidity.
*flops over*
And yeah, Coie, you do look mermaidish.
😀

i was just looking in our latest issue of Parenting Mermaids and the acceptable age for courtship and marriage is between 60 and 75. I just figured you might want to know that since we were talking about when you’ll be getting a Merman yesterday on our hike.

What a beautiful trail!
We’ll have to ask y’all how to get there sometime! (we’re not far —in Bristol/Abingdon area of VA)
Shirley by Charlotte Bronte is, imo, BETTER than Jane Eyre. And I think it would make a fabulous mini-series and I can not imagine why no one has done it yet! She also has a couple others but they tend to be as dark as Jane Eyre can be yet not as dark as Wuthering Heights by her sister. I have a treasury of all CB’s books and Wuthering Heights. Love it.
I do not know who my avatar is by. When I want a new one, I do a search for Victorian Ladies and a clip art site comes up and I choose the one that looks prettiest that day. LOL I am mildly computer illiterate. ;0)
