Today I was informed that we will have 100 kindergarteners for a field trip and workshop at work on Friday.  Guess who got volunteered to help out?  I think I will come down with a terrible and rare disease on Thursday evening.  Actually, I really do enjoy these field trips.  Little kids are impressed so easily, and it is a definite plus if they remember me during another visit and loudly proclaim, “Hey, I know you!” and give me their most charming grin.

On a side note, I really like Corn Huskers lotion.

I am happy that the daffodils have bloomed.  I believe that is the cheeriest flower created.  Speaking of daffodils, that’s what we named our newest baby goat, whose mama is Daisy and sister is Posie.  Fun happenings.

  1. I thought you guys already decided on Milo? You can’t change it’s name AGAIN. If you’re not gonna settle on one, I’m just going to have to side with Emmi and resort to calling him Matt -the original choice. or maybe Harvey. Harvey is a good goat name.

  2. I vote against calling any goat Matt.

  3. no jess… the first goat is milo, the second goat is Daffodil. two goats. they each get one name a piece.

  4. I’m glad I’m not a goat. I’m SURE I would have ended up being named Jasmine.

  5. I think it’s funny – you guys don’t know one goat from another.

I think the problem is that they’re hick goats – they’re all inbred kissin’ cousins.

  6. Yoie Coie,

You say the daffodils are a bloomin’? Every spring with uncompromised dilligence I set out to pick the first bunch of daffodils I saw for the wife of my youth! I think they are the first flower out up here to but I think we are atleast a month away – 10 degrees tonite! We would love to come for a visit – we sure do miss you all – we may be planning a trip to see Monica’s brothers family in South Carolina in late April/Early May – they will be visiting from Talkeetna, AK. If we come we are going to try our darndest to slide into the East Tennessee river valley and sweat a spell!

Can you post a pic of the daffodils and I will print it and put it in a Mason jar and give it to Mo so she can be sure to have the first daffodils of the spring!

    Hank

  7. On side note, the only hand lotion I ever used as a kid was Corn Huskers. I recall the smell. I recall the cold sting on my rough hands. I recall the glass bottle. Does it still come in glass bottles?

Is this an odd fact or what?

  8. I’m with Chasmo on the hick goat thing. That’s funny. 🙂
