Life is nice when you're Cozie

Ok, I’m Not Bored!

My mom is doing her best to keep ’09 interesting.  I mortifyingly applaud her efforts.  Um, is that possible?

That being said, I’m not going to say that I’m bored or anxious concerning my marital prospects (zero) any time soon.

Along those lines, last time I had a day off mom told Bo to do his math while I was still available (to help) and he laughed, “She’ll always be available!”

How dare he.

  1. You are just so un-accomodating. I thought you would be happy when me and ryann accidentally signed you up on E-Harmony.com

    All you do is complain

Much love, yours most sincerely, your momsie

  2. Oh goodness….”accidentally” signed you up on E-Harmony.com??????

*cackle* More like they’d put a sign out that says, “NO, you can’t have her….we’re keeping her forever.” Oh wait, that’d be yer dad. Does he have a baseball bat? If not, I’ll send him one. They come in handy. 😉

  3. You forget I keep a rifle in my closet.

  4. Quit looking. Then it’ll happen once you don’t want it anymore. I’m serious.

  5. Craigslist has a thriving personals section.

“Unmarried girl with accompanying possessions. Free or make an offer. Will deliver”

  6. Wow … interesting. You should probably feel unwanted, Coie. Sulk. Mope around the house. That’s what I would do. 🙂 Nice blog, by the way!

  7. Charley, I wouldn’t really say she’s looking. I’m doing all the looking. She’s like, “No mama, he’s not a farmer… no mama, he’s not a missionary… No mama he’s a vampire”

  8. Even though I find it fiercely hilarious (and somewhat mean) that your mom signed you up at eharmony.com without your consent, I have to agree that internet matchmaking has evolved quite a bit over the past few years and can actually be quite productive and useful. Look at me and your nutty uncle Chacha for example. Are you saying that our story isn’t enough to make you want to throw your credit card at your momsie before she can even finish filling out your 492 page dating profile??

  9. PS I’m so excited to see you in TWO AND A HALF weeks!!

  10. Well, life with your mom is always interesting, eh? I say, good for you for being picky. I wish I had been more like that! Thank God for His grace towards me–I ended up with quite the catch, but not until (as Chasmo so wisely pointed out) I stopped looking. 🙂

  11. Hey Coie! I’ve been really bad about blogging lately, but here I am seeing your new blog for the first time! I read your mom’s account of the EHarmony story… that’s hilarious!! My mom keeps talking about me joining EHarmony, but I don’t know.
Anyway, I originally sought out your blog today to tell you guys that I’m praying for your brother… Keep us posted on what happens.
    Talk to you soon,
    Ashley

  12. Coie… that is hilarious. I’m sorry, you can virtually whack me over the head with the butt of your rifle. It’s only January! You’ve got at least another eleven months of maternal interference, if your mom’s really going to go all out with this arranged marriage thing. (Kidding!)

I hope everything works out okay this Friday. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and my mind on prayer.
