On Friday night as we were reading the Bible as a family, I sat on the couch cuddled up with Dippy and James.  We were going through Proverbs when suddenly Dippy felt compelled to tell me something of great importance.  So he came up to my ear and whispered, "I have my boxers on."  I smiled and said, "Thanks!"  He nodded and smiled, but then jumped back up to my ear and said, "Not the new ones….just the ones I had before."  He just wanted to make sure I knew for sure which pair he was wearing, I guess.  😀

On Saturday, we had the Gonzalez’s, Estabrooks, PETERSONS, Nelsons, Burggrafs and CORLEYS over for a barbeque.  Everyone showed up at about 1 and stayed till about 8.  It was great fun!  We had boat rides, played Ultimate Frisbee and Steal the Bacon.  Ok, I didn’t actually play StB, I just stood there and screamed as people rushed towards me.  That is one painful game.  We also had a "healthy" chocolate cake made by me and Jessica G for the 10th birthday of Julia G.  It was way stinkin’ good!

Anyways, I would post a picture of all the "kids" (which we have defined as unmarried people since some of them are in their 20’s), but I’m too lazy to get Ryann’s camera.  So, that will have to wait till later.  Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

***EDIT*** Here is a picture of most of the kids present– what a crazy bunch!  And yes, I am fighting with Heather in the picture.  :D:D

  1. Hello!

I love your little frog picture! While reading this blog entry, I realized that I really don't know any fun family or friend games, aside from board games. Will you tell me how to play "Steal the Bacon", and anything else you can think of? Thanks 🙂

    Sounds like you had fun!

I liked your post "Adventures of a Bumbling Idiot". It was quite amusing. I was impressed by your forcing a good attitude even if you did not feel like it.

P.S. Your poem about your cousin was quite amusing too! It rhymed really well.

We had a great time at your house last week! I think Rachel would still be out in the boat if we hadn't made her come home 🙂

Congratulations, Coie, on your trip to Cal.! It sounds like you're going to have a ton of fun! Isn't it wonderful when God works things out for us that we really want but hadn't even thought possible, almost. I understand, because a couple of years ago, some friends of mine invited me to spend a week with them in Denver, CO. Just like you, I thought it would be really neat, but didn't really think it would happen. I just kept praying that if it were God's will, then both my parents would be willing for me to go, and that's huge if you know both my parents! But He did!!!!! Our God is an awesome God! Have a wonderful time out in Californ-i-a, and God bless!

How come you never ever never ever ever update this blog? why? WHY? someday, far far in the future, all 27 of your children are going to want to look back and see what sort of teenage girl you were and you will have to explain to them that you simply did not care enough about them to take the time to UPDATE.

    Yours Truly,

Momsi– i mean, um, Mindy. Mindy Mutton.
